Location: Woking. No Diesel Particulate Filter. I have a brand new S40 2.0D and have just spotted on the Volvo Price and Specification book that my car is not fitted with a DPF. Across the Volvo Platform 1 all diesel cars have the DPF fitted apart from the C30 2.0D Manual, S40 2.0D Manual and V50 2.0D Manual.
T6 Pro. 9 Jul 2023. #15. Had my dpf removed about 6 weeks ago. Reason, was seeing a lot of reports of failures and damaged engines. Cost about £400 labour and blanking off. Result is quicker, and fuel economy up from 30-32 to 39-45. So will recover the cost in about 2 years at my annual mileage.
Oct 4, 2021. #1. Hi all. The patient is a 2014 Jetta TDI w/ 126k mi. It's pure stock with the Dieselgate nerf. The DPF light came on as I was driving from Kansas City to St. Louis, so there were several hours of highway speed driving for the regen to occur. The engine light is on (not flashing) and that is due to a persistent P2015 (Intake
First ever vw transporter and its a T6 2017 t32 shuttle 204bhp. Very mechanically minded. I own a land rover restoration business, so im use to bleeding knuckles and a lot of swearing. I have fully licensed vcds and its showing dpf issue. My readings are actual 42 and calculated 48 It refuses to auto regen the dpf. Even a forced regen fails.
Re: Polo 9N3 1.4 TDI DPF and floating flywheel – 07-08-2020, 04:54 PM. The 9N3 went upto 2010 model year with the last cars being made November 2009. There were four 1.4 TDI engines, BNM, BNV, BWB and BMS the BWB and BMS always had a DPF but none had a DMF, here a DPF become mandatory from 2009, I don't ever recall seeing a 9N3 with a DPF.
What is DPF regeneration? All filters need to be cleaned regardless of what they are designed to collect. That is also the case with the Diesel Particulate Filter. The cleaning process of that filter is called DPF regeneration. This regeneration makes sure the filter does not get blocked by burning off the soot that has been collected.

It would help if you said what engine and what engine code you have. But your forum profile says you have a 1.9 engine, and it would be very unusual for that size engine in a 2006 van to have a DPF. Not impossible, because I believe it could be ordered as an option on some 1.9's - but it's hard to imagine why anyone would.
Nov 27, 2009. #11. Another possible option might be to install a "plug" in the bottom of the DPF. DPFs get clogged by ash (what cannot be burned in the regenerations). Ash tends to gather in the bottom of the DPF. When it gets full enough it blocks off the "exit" to the rest of the system.
I haven't ordered my kit yet but you may experience longer warm up times due to the EGR delete. Longer warm ups are guaranteed. I can't say mine is that noticeably different. I haven't had any super cold days yet, just lower teens for temperature but car still say outside all night and warms up relatively fast.
I have a 2009 Jetta Sportwagen TDI with 127K miles. I keep reading about how to measure the load on the DPF with VAG-COM, which I have done. Here is the output: 17:09:27 Group 099: Diesel Particle Filter. 828 /min Engine Speed (G28) 162.0°C Temperature prior Turbo Charger. 126.0°C Temperature prior Particle Filter.
Deleting the DPF means losing the (filtered) low pressure EGR. ddxcb • '13 Passat TDI SEL • 2 yr. ago. The EGR is one of the main reasons for the DPF is in use as the EGR makes the engine create more Particulate Matter than without. Thats why when tuners "Tune" the EGR more closed it increases the life of the DPF.
does my vw have a dpf
